Parts Used: The flower

Medicinal Uses: Infusions of the flowers (made by steeping them in water) were drunk to relieve coughs and sore throats.

​

Maximum Height: Ten Metres

​

Growing Conditions: sand, loam, brown clay and laterite; temperate

​

Other Uses: Infusions of the flower spikes made sweet, refreshing drinks.
