Medicinal Uses: Bark is an excellent astringent and is useful in chronic diarrhoea and dysentery.

Growing Conditions: full sun and well drained soil; highly salt resistant

Other Uses: Young twigs soaked in fresh or saltwater can be used as a mouthwash.
