Parts Used: The leaves and the gum

Medicinal Uses: The leaves can be used crushed as antibacterial poultices for healing wounds. It can also be used in a steam pit and be held and crushed under the nose to relieve congestion due to colds and flu as well as for reducing inflammation in the respiratory tract. The gum can be ground and used as ointment for sores and be eaten to relieve dysentery.

Maximum Height: 15 Metres 

Growing Conditions: Sandy alkaline soils

Other Uses: Leaves used to be used as bedding.
